Every year, Bastille Day gives Paris a unique atmosphere. The quays come alive, the monuments light up, and the Seine becomes a privileged vantage point to enjoy the festive city. This year, we invite you to experience this moment in a different way. Exceptionally, our celebratory dinner will take place on July 13, 2026, aboard Ducasse sur Seine. One date only, one service only, and a complete experience combining gastronomy, navigation, and discovery of Paris as the capital prepares to celebrate Bastille Day. For this evening, our chef Jean-Philippe Berens has created a unique six-course menu, accompanied by carefully selected pairings. Throughout the cruise, the ship’s large picture windows offer a privileged view of the capital’s iconic landmarks, before giving way to the fireworks display.
On the occasion of Bastille Day, we have designed this cruise to accompany the Paris celebrations. Exceptionally scheduled on July 13, this evening allows guests to fully enjoy the festive atmosphere gradually taking over the capital, the fireworks that will illuminate the Parisian night, and optimal sailing conditions.A single departure is planned, reserved for a limited number of guests. Those wishing to discover our usual offer will naturally be able to enjoy our gastronomic cruises on July 14th.
For this evening, Jean-Philippe Berens has designed a menu created specifically to accompany the different moments of the cruise. True to his approach, the chef focuses on seasonal produce, precise cooking techniques, and combinations that highlight each ingredient. Flavours evolve with the rhythm of the navigation, while food and wine pairings extend this culinary journey. This July 13th menu consists of six courses, served with champagne, five glasses of wine, mineral water, coffee, and petits fours. The dinner begins with smoked eggplant accompanied by trout roe and black cardamom. This first course is paired with a Premier Cru Blanc de Blancs champagne from Duval-Leroy. The tasting continues with marinated sea bream, Kristal caviar, and its delicate jelly, paired with Sancerre “Le Chêne Marchand” from Pascal Jolivet. Next comes a cookpot of multicoloured tomatoes, toasted yeast, and basil pistou, served with a Beaune Premier Cru “Aux Cras” from Louis Latour. Blue lobster from our coasts, prepared with both raw and cooked fennel and coral cooking juices, opens the second part of the meal. It is served with an Alsace Pinot Noir “Bernard’s Way” from Domaine Albert Mann. The golden roast poularde de Culoiseau, accompanied by baby potatoes and black truffle, continues the experience, enhanced by Saint-Émilion Grand Cru Château Angélus. The meal concludes with natural raspberries and elderflower ice cream, followed by the Paris tout vanille dessert, paired with a Coteaux-du-Layon Grains Nobles from Domaine Patrick Baudouin. Each course invites guests to enjoy both the scenery and the plate, in a balance between gastronomy and contemplation. This evening fully reflects the cuisine of Ducasse sur Seine: highlighting produce, respecting the seasons, and the pleasure of sailing through the heart of Paris.
The highlight of the evening takes place at 11 p.m. with the traditional Bastille Day fireworks. Exceptionally held on July 13th, our cruise offers the chance to attend this major event from the Seine, in a privileged setting. The boat provides an unobstructed view, allowing guests to fully appreciate the light display, while enjoying an exceptional panorama of Paris. The Eiffel Tower, the Musée d’Orsay, the Louvre, and Les Invalides: along the cruise, the city’s iconic monuments pass by the windows, revealing perspectives rarely seen from the riverbanks and showcasing their architecture in the evening light. As night falls, their illuminations reflect on the river, creating a striking spectacle. Dinner, navigation, and fireworks flow seamlessly together, offering a complete experience combining celebration, gastronomy, and heritage.
For this unique evening, boarding and disembarkation will take place at the Escale du Port Solférino, at the foot of the Musée d’Orsay. This location exceptionally replaces our usual dock.
